Digital Health
Digital health is a major research focus at Institut Polytechnique de Paris, at the interface of biology, medicine, mathematics, physics, and digital sciences. Teams develop approaches in multi-scale modeling to link molecular mechanisms to the functions of organs and the body as a whole.
This work focuses notably on the modeling of RNA and protein structures, the conception in silico of therapeutic molecules and simulation of the functioning of various organs and multi-organ systems, in order to better understand the mechanisms of health and disease and to accelerate the development of new diagnostic and therapeutic strategies.
In parallel, researchers use mathematical models and data analysis methods to study population dynamics, the spread of infectious diseases, and the evolution of pathogens. These predictive approaches contribute to anticipating the emergence of zoonoses, to better understand the mutation mechanisms of viruses and bacteria, and to inform prevention and public health strategies.
By combining modeling, numerical simulation, artificial intelligence, and biological and clinical data, Institut Polytechnique de Paris develops innovative tools for a more predictive, personalized, and preventive medicine.

The DaTSHealth program
In 2023, IP Paris launched the DaTSHealth program. Supported by the ANR (French National Research Agency) within the framework of the France 2030 Plan, this training program aims to respond to the profound transformations of the health sector linked to the rise of big data, artificial intelligence and digital technologies.
