Morphoscope - Photonic Microscopy

Morphoscope - Photonic Microscopy
Topics: Health and Independence, Functional Rehabilitation, Networks and Connected Devices, Mobility

Morphoscope is a technological innovation platform for photonic imaging of living organisms. It offers expertise and state-of-the-art equipment for cellular and tissue imaging, as well as for data analysis. Launched as part of an Equipex project and housed at the Laboratory of Optics and Biosciences (LOB) in Palaiseau, the platform is supported by the Advanced Microscopy and Tissue Physiology team, which brings together expertise in optics, instrumentation, applied mathematics, and developmental biology.

The platform is distinguished by its expertise in multiphoton imaging and its capacity to lead technological and methodological development projects in imaging. Its areas of focus revolve around three complementary aspects: imaging of thick tissues, high-speed imaging, and super-resolution imaging. Among the instruments operated and developed are multiphoton microscopes for fluorescence imaging (two- and three-photon excitation) and harmonic generation (SHG, THG), a microscope incorporating a vibratome for large-volume imaging via serial sections, light-sheet microscopes, super-resolution systems, and image storage and processing capabilities.

 Equipments

  • Confocal microscopy,
