Institut Polytechnique de Paris (IP Paris) and Università Bocconi of Milan signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on November 13, 2024, to foster mutual educational and research advancements. Spearheaded by Thierry Coulhon, President of IP Paris, and Francesco Billari, Rector of Bocconi University, this partnership aims to strengthen both institutions' commitment to high-impact research, academic exchange, and interdisciplinary innovation.

PFAS molecules are widely used in virtually all industrial sectors, thanks to their resistance to water and oil. But they are also "forever chemicals", and regulations are becoming increasingly stringent to reduce their use. The Amphitex project, supported by the Centre interdisciplinaire d'études pour la défense et la sécurité (CIEDS), aims to find alternatives to their use in military uniforms.

This challenge is a simulation-based drone swarm programming competition, on topics with real impact!

The aim of this call for projects is to fund ambitious research projects targeting Defence & Security applications, which can be carried out in collaboration with academic or industrial partners.

On Thursday, 19th September, 2024, IP Paris held its 3rd Research Day, an annual event organized by a committee of researchers and doctoral students. This initiative brings together the scientific community to offer an overview of the research being carried out in IP Paris laboratories. This year's program featured 20 speakers from various fields, all united around the theme of light. Nearly 160 participants attended the event, including the inaugural lecture by Pierre Agostini, Professor Emeritus at the Ohio State University and 2023 Nobel Prize laureate in Physics.
