Professor at the Center for Applied Mathematics (CMAP) at the Ecole Polytechnique, Éric Moulines is working on generative artificial intelligence (AI) and is attempting to define how AI can be at the service of “intelligent agents” that are keen to collaborate. NeuralTeks, a young gem incubated at the X Novation Center, the incubator of École Polytechnique (IP Paris), is revolutionizing the microbiological diagnostics sector with artificial intelligence. Founded in 2023, this promising start-up aims to transform laboratory analyses by making diagnostics faster, more reliable, and more accessible.

Yanlei Diao is a professor in the Computer Science Laboratory (LIX*) at the École Polytechnique and a member of the Inria-École Polytechnique CEDAR research team. She has been awarded an ERC Proof of Concept grant for her ExplainableAD (XAD) project, dedicated to the detection of complex evolving anomalies in digital data streams. The XAD system is based on deep learning and can provide explanations for these anomalies while returning human-readable information. It has applications in the fight against banking and financial fraud, in the reliability and performance of IT systems and clouds, as well as in biomedical research and diagnostics.
