Institut Polytechnique de Paris researcher awarded an ERC Proof of Concept grant

Yanlei Diao is a professor in the Computer Science Laboratory (LIX*) at the École Polytechnique and a member of the Inria-École Polytechnique CEDAR research team. She has been awarded an ERC Proof of Concept grant for her ExplainableAD (XAD) project, dedicated to the detection of complex evolving anomalies in digital data streams. The XAD system is based on deep learning and can provide explanations for these anomalies while returning human-readable information. It has applications in the fight against banking and financial fraud, in the reliability and performance of IT systems and clouds, as well as in biomedical research and diagnostics.
